San Antonio is the second biggest city in Texas and the seventh largest in the whole country. San Antonio is in the northern part of South Texas and in the American Southwest. This city, which was named after the Portuguese St Anthony, is famed for the Alamo, Spanish missions, the Tower of the Americas, SeaWorld, the River Walk, and theme parks. The city gets twenty six million tourists per year. This city has a humid subtropical climate and the weather can be humid or dry depending on the winds. It is warm or cool in the winter and hot in the summer. Fall and spring are rainy and warm. The economy in San Antonio is based largely on tourism, healthcare, government, and financial services. There is also a large military presence. The second oldest hotel in San Antonio is The Fairmount Hotel, which was built in 1906. This is one of the heaviest buildings ever to have been moved intact. It moved to its new location over four days in 1985, three blocks south of The Alamo and the removal cost $650,000.
