Philadelphia is the biggest city in Pennsylvania and its nicknames include The City of Brotherly Love and Philly. This city is forty five miles southwest of New York City and it is a country seat of Philadelphia County. This city is a cultural, education and commercial center and it used to be the second biggest city in the British Empire, after London. This centerpiece of early American history also used to be the most populous city until New York overtook it. Philadelphia gave birth to the ideas and actions, which gave birth to American independence and the American revolution. The city also served as the national capital while Washington DC was being built. This was from 1790 until 1800. A lot of Philadelphian suburbs have African American majorities and a large number of Italian Americans in residence. Philadelphia has a humid subtropical climate with muggy, hot summers, cold winters and mild springs and falls.
This city is famed for its cheesesteak, soft pretzels, water ice, Tastykake, scrapple, and hoagies. High end restaurants include Morimoto and Le Bec-Fin. As for wine, you could try Stone Villa Wine Cellars, suppliers of many wines from dry and semi-dry whites to sweet wines and dessert wine, or The Wine Cellar, purveyors of many different wines ranging from $10 up to more expensive ones. Wine collecting is a great hobby and anyone can get a wine cellar in their home because they come in all sizes from very small to massive. Wine is a great investment and, if it has been stored correctly, you can sell it for a profit.
